COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is home staging and why does it matter?
Home staging is the art of preparing a property to appeal to the widest range of buyers. We highlight your home’s best features, create flow, and evoke emotion — helping buyers picture themselves living there. A well-staged home typically sells faster and for a higher price. Definitely worth the investment.
What makes The Stagency different from other staging companies?
We combine design with real-estate strategy. Our work isn’t just beautiful — it’s purposeful. Each space is styled to photograph perfectly, show effortlessly, and connect emotionally. We call it The Stagency Magic — design that moves homes and hearts.
Do you offer consultations or partial staging?
Yes! We offer a range of services — from full home staging to partial staging and styling consultations. Whether you need a few key rooms refreshed or an entire home transformation, we’ll tailor the service to your goals, timeline, and budget.
Do you use my furniture or bring in your own?
We can do both. Our team will assess what works best for the space. Sometimes that means mixing your existing pieces with our 8,000 sq ft of curated inventory; other times, it’s a full redesign using our furnishings and décor to create a cohesive look.
How much does staging cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the home, number of rooms, and scope of work. We provide an estimate followed by detailed proposal, tailored to you after a walkthrough of the property. Think of it as an investment — professionally staged homes typically yield returns well beyond the staging fee.
How long does the staging process take?
Typically, we can stage a home within 5–10 business days of contract signing. Installations usually take one day. If you’re on a tight deadline, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your timeline.
How long is the furniture rental period?
Our standard rental term is 60 days, with prorated extensions available if your listing stays on the market longer. We’ll coordinate seamlessly with your agent to ensure staging remains in place through photography and showings and will work with you on a price for extended staging if needed.
What happens after the home sells?
Once escrow closes or you’re ready to de-stage, we’ll schedule removal within a few days. Our crew will take care of everything efficiently — restoring the property to its pre-staged condition.
Do you work with homeowners, investors, or real estate agents?
All of the above! We partner closely with agents, developers, and homeowners to stage occupied and vacant properties. Each collaboration starts with understanding your vision and ends with a design that delivers results. We aren’t happy until YOU are happy.
Where do you offer staging services?
We serve properties throughout San Diego County and surrounding Southern California areas. For projects outside that range, we’re happy to discuss availability and travel options. If we are able to acomodate you, we will!
Do you provide financing?
Yes! We offer pay at escrow plans with 50% pay up front with the balance paid at time of escrow. We’ve also partnered with Notable to make staging even easier. Through Notable, qualifying homeowners can stage now and pay later — with no upfront costs. Their simple online approval process allows you to spread payments over time, until after your home sells.
At The Stagency, we believe every home deserves great design and shouldn’t have to wait!
